I wasn't able to find a precise enough scale to measure its mass, nor could I find a precise enough water container (Archimedes Principle) to measure its density. ![]() It could be copper or bronze underneath, which would produce the same effect (but not as strong). The magnet slides down slowly, like it should because silver is diamagnetic it does not stick. These silver rounds are a great method of obtaining high-quality one-ounce silver rounds to add to your precious metal portfolios, at low premium. The mint may vary, however, these will be pure Silver Buffalo rounds. Each round is made from 1 troy ounce silver with a purity of 0.999 or greater. When I got home, I compared the ring to a 1966 Canadian silver dollar (80%Ag/20%Cu), and the A-Mark round sounded more low-pitched, but still had a bit of a ring. Buy 1 oz Buffalo Silver Rounds at SD Bullion. So I hit the A-Mark rounds together at the store, and it sounded okay. I was already on the look-out for fakes, because the store looked a bit sketchy. Yesterday I picked up two 1oz A-Mark Liberty bell rounds and two Sunshine Mint 1oz bars, all at spot.
